Dollar signs and visions of lucky sevens cavorted in their heads as friends paired up for the long bus journey to the Immokalee Casino. Frivolous chatter could be heard among the group as they reminisced on past visits and discussed where they would partake for lunch. After we arrived, the vast assemblage proceeded to their gambling destinations. As I sauntered around, several residents were happy to share their stories of good fortune, being unsuccessful I had nothing to share. After two hours of intense play and good eats, the group congregated at the front door for a photo, and on the count of three yelled, “Arbor Trace.” Upon pulling back into the community, we all clapped and thanked our friendly, accommodating bus drive Rodger Locher for making our trip safe.
