We took a break from the ordinary to try the extraordinary at The Veranda in downtown Ft. Myers Friday, April 15th. The Veranda has been part of Fort Myers since the turn of the century. The original house was built for captain Manuel Gonzalez and his family in 1902. He then built a second house next door for his mother. In the 1960’s, the two houses were joined to form a restaurant and bar. In the late 70’s, The Veranda was created for all to enjoy the historical charm of the early days of Fort Myers. The food was outstanding, as well as the atmosphere. A definite repeat anytime!
